The Exceptional World of Lester Marks

Last Friday I had the amazing opportunity to attend a cocktail party at the residence of Lester Marks, listed by ARTnews magazine as one of the “Top 200 Collectors in the World,” by Art & Antiques magazine as one of the “Top 100 Collectors,” and as “One of the Top 100 Collectors Changing the Art World.”
As soon as I walked into his extraordinary house I immediately felt the presence of all the world-renowned artists' souls cohabiting inside this exceptional world created by Mr. Marks.
Sculptures, paintings, photographs, and installations whispering to each other in a way that can only be described as surreal. As I listened to Lester talk about his breathtaking contemporary art collection, I felt as if I was suddenly transported back in time to that moment in history in which the pieces of art were created.
