Buffalo Bayou Partnership or BBP is a non-profit organization that for more than 20 years has been dedicated to the conservation and growth of the more than ten miles that the Buffalo Bayou occupies from the corner of Shepherd Drive to the port of Houston.

The Buffalo Bayou is one of my favorite parks as it offers countless fun activities to do by yourself or with your family. The park has running trails, boat and kayak rides and also fun bike tours. My favorite activity is to run alongside the Buffalo Bayou on Allen Parkway starting on Dunlavy Street and finishing at the impressive Wortham Theater in downtown.

Throughout the year the Buffalo Bayou Partnership offers all kinds of events, however there is one in particular that’s dedicated to pamper our children called KBR Kids Day.

On October 13 of 2018 it will be the 12th year that BBP organizes this special day for children in which more than twenty sponsors will offer hands-on activities, entertainment and music to enjoy with our kids.

Some of the activities your children will be able enjoy are face-painting, rock climbing, a birds of prey show, and they’ll also be available to participate in the Halloween Costume Parade, so don't forget to bring their costumes.

Entrance to the event is free to the public and will begin at 11 am at the Guadalupe Park Plaza. So now you know, if you're looking to spend a fun day outdoors with your kids you can’t miss this event.
