My Lincoln Luxury Experience
Lincoln Motor Company is currently on a promotional tour of their 2018 Black Label Lincoln Navigator throughout various cities around the U.S. and last week, Houston was one of their stops. I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of it by living the experience of test driving the outstanding vehicle for the weekend and let me tell you, it's simply incredible.
Today I'm going to share with all of you the SUV's wonderful luxury and safety features, as well as our experience at two amazing Houston Restaurants in which I had the opportunity to celebrate my birthday with Lincoln.
The SUV I experienced was the Black Label themed as Destination. Its beautiful design is inspired by art, culture and culinary experiences when you travel in luxury. The outside color was a beautiful rich red called Burgundy Velvet Metallic and it was combined with an impressive Venetian leather in the same tone in its interior, with Khaya mahogany accents.
From the first moment I stepped into the car to adjust my seat, I immediately sensed how Lincoln's mission is to offer its passengers comfort to the fullest with more than 18 combinations to choose from until you reach your ideal seat position. Also, with the push of a button, you can change the seat's temperature or the intensity of the lower back massage, which you can activate or deactivate as you please.
You can leave your phone on the wireless charging console and forget about it for the rest of your trip thanks to the Bluetooth pairing system and the connection to Apple Car Play, which lets you access your phone's screen from the Center Touch Screen.
As we all know, here in Houston we spend a lot of time driving and whenever I stumble upon traffic or I'm going somewhere far, I enjoy listening to good music or to one of my favorite podcasts. Inside the Black Label Lincoln Navigator the sharpness and clarity of its Revel Audio System with 20 speakers was fantastic.
One of the purposes of Lincoln is to offer the owner of the vehicle a luxury experience not only while driving but also in the various services and experiences that come with the Black Label Membership. For example, it includes complementary maintenance services, car washes, and a concierge that takes care of all your restaurant reservations.
The first Lincoln Experience my husband and I enjoyed was a delicious birthday dinner at Nobu Restaurant. Nobu is a Japanese Restaurant chain with locations all over the world that just opened their first location in Houston a couple of months ago. We ordered the fixed menu Called Omakase where the Chef surprised us with eight delicious dishes of his choice. We had a lot of fun tasting this menu since we are very adventurous gastronomically speaking. We enjoyed the Uni with Caviar and Gold Leaf, the Wagyu Beef, the Seared Scallops, the delicious BlueFin Toro and a sashimi cut that I had never tried before called Saba Shioyaki, which quickly became one of my favorites.
The next day I went to the Grocery Store and I was delighted to discover that you can open the trunk hassle-free thanks to its Hands-Free Liftgate system by just waving your foot under the back, and with just the push of a button, the third-row folds or unfolds automatically thanks to its Power Fold system; now that's what I call comfort.
In addition to luxury and comfort, my family's safety is super important when I drive, and I loved the fact that the Lincoln Navigator has multiple Airbags throughout and a 360-degree camera that allows you to view any other cars or pedestrians, not only when you back up, but also moving forward at low speeds. I also loved the adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping system.
My favorite security feature was the Heads-Up Display that lets you keep your eyes on the road and avoid distractions thanks to a display on your windshield that shows you key information that you pick and choose, for example, I chose to see the time, weather outside, my speed, the speed limit, and GPS directions.
My kids had a great time inside the vehicle as well thanks to two 12-inch screens in the back seats paired with wireless headphones. They also enjoyed the super spacious second and third rows, and they were able to connect their devices to a Wi-Fi Hot Spot inside the SUV, perfect to keep them entertained during a long Road Trip.
And for a spectacular grand finale to a fun weekend partnering with Lincoln, we took the Navigator out for a last spin to enjoy a delicious brunch at one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, State of Grace.
State of Grace is the definition of Southern comfort food with a twist. Chef Matos creates an elevated fusion of flavors in his version of The Campechana and the Crawfish Benedicts, the Hushpuppies with Texas Blue Crab were absolutely amazing. The Chicken Fried Chicken and their wonderful selection of Oysters were delicious as well.
Thank you so much Lincoln Motor Company for giving me the opportunity to enjoy this incredible experience with the 2018 Black Label Lincoln Navigator.
