Is it a Bar, is it a Bakery? It’s Weights + Measures
What happens when a chef, a barman, a baker and a real estate developer get together? Well, they create Weights + Measures – a restaurant in Midtown that satisfies several needs in just one place.
The history of this place starts when four Houstonians, working in different fields, join forces with just one goal in mind – create a restaurant that offers authentic ingredients and that’s opened to the public at any time of the day.
Weights + Measures is located in what originally was an industrial warehouse in Midtown, so it has high ceilings, is surrounded by windows and has a minimalistic design that gives this space a unique ambiance.
I went with my husband for lunch and we had a great meal in a very casual atmosphere while enjoying a great service. The lunch menu is pretty simple – salads, pizzas and sandwiches; nonetheless the quality of its ingredients is extraordinary. Each and every one of the products they bring to your table is homemade and as a diner you can really appreciate it.
We had the Burger, and wow, just look at the picture! The meat is cooked in a wood grill that gives it a delicious taste.
Beside the excellent quality of their dishes and the great design of the place, what I liked the most is that no matter the time of day you go, they always have something to offer you.
You can go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The bar stays open daily until 2 am and the bakery sells its products until 3 pm. So no matter what you’re craving – a freshly baked bread, a drink in the middle of the week, lunch with friends, or dinner with your love one, Yo Mariana truly recommend this place.
