24 Hours of Luxury in LA discovering the 2020 Lincoln Aviator
This week was definitely like no other thanks to the incredible opportunity I had to travel to Los Angeles, California for the worldwide launch of the all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator.
After Landing in LA, my experience began at the wonderful Milk Studios where Lincoln presented to the media their new addition to the Lincoln family called, Aviator.
Each and every one of Lincoln's executives radiated passion, pride, and emotion while they presented to the world an SUV that overflows with luxury, comfort, power, and above all, mind-blowing technology.
A couple of minutes after the event started, I suddenly felt very excited when I realized that I was part of a very select group of Lincoln's guests and really enjoyed the moment to the fullest. Filled with pride, emotion, and a bit of nervousness, I took as many pictures and videos as I could wishing I could convey in this post the soul and vibe of such an incredible experience through my words and images.
All the guests at the event enjoyed interactive presentations by the engineers and designers where they explained in detail all the new and incredible features offered by the all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator. Here are some of my favorite:
Interior
The luxurious interior of the Aviator was outstanding overall. I loved the fact that it has a capacity for seven passengers with three rows of seats that are adjustable with just the touch of a button, plus it now offers a very nice new leather interior color called Roast.
Phone As a Key
Losing your car keys is a thing of the past with the new Phone as a Key technology. After a simple one-time Bluetooth phone linking to the Lincoln App, you can lock, unlock, start the engine, as well as easily locate your SUV in a parking lot. With this technology, the Aviator automatically remembers the preferences of each driver offering four phone keys.
Power
The Aviator Grand Touring combines the power of the new engine with a battery-powered electric motor offering the most powerful powertrain in the Lincoln family.
Sanctuary
Lincoln's mission is to create a sanctuary inside the vehicle by making you feel safe, comfortable and connected. Safe by not having to look down thanks to the Head-up Display. Excessive comfort by substituting the traditional electronic chimes with real music from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Also, it offers a Rebel Ultima 3D audio system that gives you a concert hall quality sound experience thanks to its speakers positioned on the headline. Connectivity, thanks to its compatibility with Apple Play and Android Auto, as well as a wireless phone charger and WiFi access for more than ten electronic devices. A road trip dream!
Traffic Sign Recognition
Thanks to the Traffic Sign Recognition system, the Aviator will be able to read the traffic signs and adjust your speed automatically, as well as self-park parallelly or perpendicularly with the push of a button.
This SUV really has it all - a perfect size with a modern and luxurious design that exceeded my expectations with its mind-blowing technology.
After the media presentation at Milk Studios, I had a couple of hours to enjoy the city of Los Angeles, as well as the Dream Hollywood Hotel before attending the dinner party to celebrate the unveiling at the Hotel's Rooftop.
What I enjoy the most when I travel to any city, is to stroll through its streets and discover through the lens of my camera the place's vibe. This southern Californian city is the film and TV mecca of the world, so it's always fun to go people watching. It was inevitable for me to imagine the thousands of stories behind actors starting their careers, or writers with screenplays in their hands waiting to receive that first opportunity, with the hope of one day seeing their name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
For lunch, I enjoyed a delicious meal at SugarFish, a highly recommended Japanese restaurant where I had an exquisite four-course meal called Trust Me. This place is famous for offering simple cuts of fish of extraordinary quality that melt in your mouth. It was delicious!
Dream Hollywood Hotel
To finish off these wonderful 24 hours on a high note, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner party at the Dream Hollywood Hotel's Rooftop to celebrate the official launch of the all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator. The menu, decoration, live performance, and music were filled with sophistication, originality and impeccable elegance, totally in sync with the features of this wonderful addition to the Lincoln family, the 2020 Lincoln Aviator.
Thanks so much to Lincoln Motor Company for making me part of such a wonderful celebration.
